IKIGAI DAYS

Hey everyone!

Welcome to another week of my “A week in Japan” series! where I just blog about my daily life in Japan. It’s been just slightly over 2 weeks since my last post that I made. I promise to update weekly, I’ve just been a bit busy eating and drinking! 🤣 Scratch that!🤣 I can’t believe it’s been over a year since my last post. Akihabara

The past week in Japan has been super hot and humid, with a lot of rain these past few days. The reason for the rain was because of an upcoming typhoon 10, known as Typhoon shan shan that was about to come to Tokyo

I honestly didn’t feel anything and it was just a lot of rain. I didn’t see or experience any flooding luckily! but I saw on Tiktok and the news of train stations that were being flooded from the rain. It looked pretty crazy as some subway stations were submerged with water. Stay safe everyone!

One Piece, Sunny Go!

This week, I visited Akihabara or people refer to it commonly here as, “akiba” (アキバ). I’ve realised in the past month, I’ve visited Akihabara probably five times. During trips to Japan, I have never really made an effort to visit Akihabara because there isn’t anything that I really wanted to buy and my love for anime decreased compared to my younger days of wanting to buy everything

Akihabara still holds a special place in my heart because it’s a place filled with anime goods! I still remember the first time I visited Japan in early 2013 and being amazed with all the crane machine games, 2d anime characters that were plastered everywhere. Sadly Akihabara has changed so much with Sega gone and now replaced with “GiGO” and the famous UFO stuck in the Radio Kaikan building that is gone

One of my favourite electronic stores to go to is BiC Camera. The one in Akihabara is around 7 floors and stocked with electronics, alcohol, figurines, games and pretty much anything you need to buy, can be found here!

I bought a one piece jigsaw puzzle that I always wanted but it was always sold out whenever I visited Bic Camera. I am too lazy to order it online and it’s a good excuse to go to Akihabara 😂

That’s not all… I also bought Sunny go from one Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen nendrooid and a pack of One Piece PRB-01 cards!
